IMPORTANT:
Crosstown traffic will be severely restricted for both vehicles and pedestrians throughout Thanksgiving Day in the vicinity of the parade -- Make sure to plan your travel to the event accordingly

Guests traveling from the east side of Manhattan will NOT be permitted to cross 6th Avenue in the vicinity of the parade

  • 6th Avenue will be closed from approximately 23rd Street to 59th Street
  • Central Park West will be closed from approximately 59th Street to Street

1. MAKE A TRAVEL PLAN
WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU MAKE YOUR TRAVEL PLANS FOR GETTING TO THE VENUE AT LEAST ONE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT

  • Multiple street and public transportation closures will be in effect throughout NYC on Thanksgiving Day, and high volume traffic should be expected
  • Large crowds should be expected and movement through New York City will be limited from 6am until 1pm
  • Give yourself extra time to walk -- Be advised that NYPD may limit or restrict vehicle traffic in the vicinity of the event and that a high volume of pedestrians in the area may make driving or traveling by taxi difficult
  • Consult your local host / hotel concierge for precise directions and relevant street closure details

2. BARRICADES
The New York Police Department will set up security checkpoints, called Barricades, around parade viewing locations and throughout NYC on Thanksgiving. At your designated event entry point the NYPD will ask you to present your ticket, which is also your entry ticket to the event. You must have your ticket available to present at all times in order to gain entry into the barricaded area and your event.

3. TIME
Moving through NYC on Thanksgiving Day can be a slow process. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel from your hotel or starting point to your party destination. There are multiple police checkpoints throughout NYC and the wait times may vary. The “doors open” time is located on your actual ticket. We strongly recommend arriving at least 1-hour before the scheduled opening time.
