A fusion of reggae and rock, Dirty Heads have been topping the alternative charts with their unique, genre-bending sound since the release of their debut album, “Any Port in a Storm,” in 2008. The album included their first hit song “Lay Me Down,” which featured Rome from the internationally renowned band, Sublime. The track shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Charts for 11 consecutive weeks. They’re sophomore album, “Cabin by the Sea,” and acoustic third album, “Home-Phantoms of Summer,” were both huge critical and commercial successes.
The six-piece group most recently released their hit album “Sound of Change” via Five Seven Music, which reached No.1 on the U.S. Alternative Music Chart and No. 2 on the U.S. Rock Chart. The album features the group’s signature blend of alternative rock and hip hop undertones that has launched them to the top of the alternative music scene. To create “Sounds of Change”, the band worked with top producers including Niles (from the Cataracs), Buddah Shampoo, Ward 21, Rome, and Grammy award-winner Supa Dups. “Sound of Change” has been their most successful album yet, embodying the light-hearted, fusion sound that they’ve developed since their debut.
The band is currently comprised of Dustin Bushnell (vocals/guitar), Jared Watson (vocals), Jon Olazabal (percussion), Shawn Hagood (vocals/keyboard), David Foral (bass), and Matt Ochoa (drums).
